BERWICK Senior Citizens held a well-attended meeting on 28 August, and it was great to see friends David and Wilma Clark back, despite Wilma not being “hale and hearty” as yet.
Vice president Wilma James and Win Robinson are still on the sick members’ list. Betty Broderick’s birthday fell last week.
The prizes at the door went to Lucy Dickinson and Ian Wollerman, while Mary Sparks won the meat tray, and president Isabella Price was the happy winner of the voucher. The raffle was also drawn, and went to Nora Todd and Stan Clayton.
The rest of the afternoon was given over to John Robson, who gave a splendid array of the older melodies, his voice being particularly suited. Members gave him a hearty round of applause.
Any inquiries can be addressed to president Isabella Price at 9707 5936. The club would welcome some more members.
