RESIDENTS preparing for the bushfire season are invited to a community session about Victoria’s bushlands, forests and fire risks.
Cardinia Shire Council councillor Ed Chatwin has organised Dr Gregory Moore to present his talk, Bushfires, Vegetation and Your Garden, at the Emerald Hall.
Dr Moore, the former principal of Burnley College, University of Melbourne, will talk on the need to have a balanced view when confronted by media reports, how to understand the complex nature of the environment and, from his point view, how residents can tackle some of the vegetation issues around their homes.
The first presentation will be tomorrow (Thursday) from 7pm to 10pm and the next on Sunday 18 October from 2pm to 5pm.
