PAKENHAM Football Club will be the proud owners of a new gymnasium in time for next season.
Pakenham Lions’ president Brian Jagoe said construction would start after Christmas, following years of planning by the club.
“If it can help them do what they did this year well, as Shane Crawford says: ‘That’s what I’m talkin’ about’,” he said.
Mr Jagoe said the gym would be used by players and any current members of the club.
“We just want the players to play good footy,” he said. Funding from Cardinia Shire as well as through Telstra’s True Supporter’s Program has helped to make the club’s planning a reality.
“We want to make this the premier ground in the shire of Cardinia,” Mr Jagoe said.
