Grants aid training costs

COMMUNITY groups required to have first aid training may be eligible to receive council training grants.
Casey director of community services Jennie Lee said members of such groups were invited to apply for a grant to assist with the training cost, as part of the City of Casey grants program.
Ms Lee said the council had introduced a limited number of first aid grants valued at $75 each.
“Community groups and organisations are an integral part of our society and the City of Casey’s first aid training grant program will assist some of these groups to afford this important training,” she said.
The grants are available to one representative per organisation per quarter.
