THE supply of cattle was smaller at VLE Pakenham after the cheaper rates of the previous week.
However, the fall in the number was only around 18 per cent, which did not assist in stronger demand. While some prices were higher, some were equally as much lower, and over the day, the averages came unchanged.
Some of the discrepancies in price trends was created by quality variations, as there were fewer top quality vealers penned.
