OFFICER had a mixed week despite a good Agrade win over Pakenham UpperToomuc.
A GRADE
Officer recorded a convincing win by 73 runs over Pakenham UpperToomuc. Officer dismissed the Yabbies for 148, Ben Tivendale taking 3/22 and Daniel Savage 3/46.
Colin Tucker took four catches behind in a good display behind the stumps and brother Andrew took 2/3 including two wickets in two balls. James Quinn took 1/4 off five overs. Batting again, Officer made 3/99 with Steve McIntyre (40) and Clint Williams (41) playing valuable innings before this week’s clash at Catani.
C GRADE
The Bullants were beaten by Pakenham UpperToomuc by 95 runs, being bowled out for 197 chasing 282. Brent Pullen with 66 was the standout player, batting until after tea and adding 51 with Pat Tucker (16) for the opening partnership.
This was an improved performance with the bat. Graeme Cooper was 19 not out, Steve Leithhead made 18, Matt Cooper a solid 16, Mick Adams 14, Andy Armstrong 13 and Gavin Boon 12. Officer batted for 75 overs and awards went to Brent Pullen, Jason Hester and Steve Leithhead.
E GRADE
The Bullants were bundled out for 48 after Pakenham declared and this resulted in an outright defeat.
F GRADE
Officer had a close game with Devon Meadows, getting home by 14 runs with three wickets in hand. For Officer Jason Nicholson topscored with 42 and with the ball Andrew Stevenson took 2/8, Adam Cooke 3/15 with good fielding by the team in what was a tight game all day.
