A magic ton for Mick

IN a power performance, Mick Jusic was the highlight for Iona C grade on Saturday with 142, helping his team to a convincing win against Longwarry.
His innings included 13 sixes and 10 fours in Iona’s total of 305 in just 45 overs
Iona resumed play at 2/72, but found itself 3/72 when O’Farrell fell for 23.
This brought Jusic to the crease and from then on he made sure Longwarry was never in the game as he and Tom McCormack put on an excellent partnership until the latter fell for 51.
Sean McCormack joined Jusic and the two guided Iona past Longwarry’s score and Jusic continued to destroy the opposition.
Jusic and McCormack added 113 for the fifth wicket until Jusic went for 142.
Sean McCormack played well for 39 in a very convincing victory for the Iona side.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE (2)

With Jindivick requiring 220 for victory, the Iona bowlers never gave it a look in. Luke Ferguson dismissed the two opening batsmen then Will Grbic took care of the next two and Jindivick was 4/35.
It didn’t stop there, as leftarmer George Lineham went through the next two and Shaun Taylor cleaned up the tail taking 3/2 and Jindivick was out for 63.
M. Urie was the only one to offer any resistance not out on 16.

Resuming at 2/3 against Jindivick, Iona started well with Jason Kelly scoring 26.
Matt Murphy and Phil Medley continued to play solidly, but with the score on 74 Murphy was stumped on 25 and this sparked a collapse and Iona was never able to recover.
Phil Medley battled hard on one leg batting for almost 50 overs for 17 runs in a determined effort, but Iona was eventually bowled out for 117.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 16

Playing Buln Buln that made 117 last week it was Iona’s turn to bowl, but it struggled to take toporder wickets.
Chris Mitchell battled hard and took 4/25 and Tyler Grbic claimed two wickets.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 14

Iona again suffered another outright defeat
J. Coleman played well for 26, but the rest of the order crumbled and were bowled out for 66.
This then left Buln needing 49 for victory that it reached with five wickets in hand.
Dominic Sheeran was the best of the Iona bowlers with 3/13.
