MEMBERS of Pakenham Lions Club have organised free glaucoma testing in Pakenham later this month.
A testing booth will be set-up near the information booth at the Coles supermarket in central Pakenham.
Pakenham optometrists Leunig and Farmer will provide the equipment as well as their expertise for the testing.
Glaucoma is the world’s leading cause of irreversible blindness, with one in 10 Australians over 80 developing the condition.
The upcoming testing day is aimed at people in their 40s and upwards who do not have regular eye check-ups.
The testing will be available from 8.30am to 1pm on 29 January.
