AS THE floods reached its peak over the weekend wild animals have been spotted in random locations and pets have been reported missing.
While the RSPCA has picked up some animals and brought them back to the shelter and others have been found or returned to their owners, some pets are still missing and worried owners are left searching for their beloved companions.
One story with a happy ending was Jenny McAuslan’s pet beagle, which disappeared from Hartland Circuit in Pakenham.
Ms McAuslan suffers from a serious heart condition so she wasn’t able to chase after the dog but the cheeky pet came home quietly an hour and a half later.Janene Coleman’s family cat Chester went missing last Friday morning and still hasn’t been spotted.
The one-year-old ginger has a microchip and was last seen in Henty Park Estate in Pakenham. If found, please call 0415 829 264.
