BUNYIP Soccer Club will kick off its season with a friendly against Middle Park at the Bunyip Recreation Reserve this Sunday.
Club secretary Roman Kulkewycz says he is hoping for bigger and better things from the senior group , after finishing fifth in its inaugural season.
“Last year was a learning curve and this season we expect to be better,” he said.
“No one knew each other last year, so this year we’ll have our core players back, with some new ones as well.”
Kulkewycz said more than 100 players and supporters were expected to stay on to watch the match at Bunyip Reserve.
Training for all grades will start at 10am followed by the Strikers’ friendly against Middle Park at 12.30 pm.
