CAROL Porter is one special volunteer from the Cardinia-Casey Branch of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
She is their longest serving volunteer and was honoured at their monthly meeting recently.
For the past 20 years she has been a public speaker, fund-raising co-ordinator and president of the branch.
Carol was presented with a bouquet of flowers, a watch and a 20-year badge to mark the occasion.
Volunteers are now preparing for ‘Laugh for Kids’ on Wish Day, Friday March 25.
The Cardinia-Casey branch is hoping that schools in the area will come on board to help promote the event.
They will be holding a sausage sizzle in front of Pakenham Safeway on the day.
If you are interested in donating to Make-A-Wish or joining as a volunteer, contact the national office on 1800 032 260.
