Upon her recent retirement after eight years as St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School’s Head of Careers, Deb Cumming recently handed over the reins of the crucial secondary school role to her successor, experienced careers adviser, Sarah Luck.
Sarah, a fully qualified Career Practitioner, spent ten years as a Career Practitioner in secondary education before joining the St Paul’s community and is currently in her final year of study at Swinburne University completing a Bachelor of Behavioural Studies. Prior to working in the education sector, Sarah worked in the private industry in youth mentoring and employment programs, where she developed her passion for working with young people.
Sarah is looking forward to guiding St Paul’s students to discover their future path. “My focus is working with students to help them find direction and purpose in their studies and to give them the confidence to take the next step on their life journey,” Sarah said. “I am delighted to be starting my role as Head of Careers and VET Coordinator at St Paul’s.”
Deb Cumming has been mentoring Sarah during her transition period, ensuring that students receive outstanding support across the school’s Warragul and Traralgon Campuses as they complete their secondary schooling and move onto tertiary study or employment.
