Support for young mums

YOUNG mums and pregnant women up to the age of 25 who are looking for support can come to the free mother’s group in Pakenham.
Cardinia Shire Council runs the weekly group for young mums on Monday mornings.
There are a number of fun activities, from cooking classes to jewellery making, as well as a mums and bubs fitness class and yoga.
It is also a place where mums can make friends, talk about their concerns, as well as having access to a Maternal Child and Health nurse.
Council’s youth services officer Kaylie Sinnbeck said the group is a great source of information for young mums.
The group runs every Monday during school term from 11am to 1pm at Services Central in Henry Street, Pakenham.
Anyone interested in attending can contact the council’s youth services officer on 1300 787 624 or email youth@cardinia.vic.gov.au.
