CARDINIA’S tourism sector has received a facelift with a new website.
Chairman of Cardinia Tourism, Ken Aldred, said the revamp would draw attention to the many attractions in the area.
Established in 2005, Cardinia Tourism represents a range of tourism businesses from Puffing Billy Railway to the Carlei Winery, which hosted the group’s monthly meeting last week.
“The new website highlights these particular attractions, as we well as the attributes of the shire in general,” he said.
“Only now are visitors starting to appreciate what an untapped treasure Cardinia is, with all that it has to offer the family looking for a day’s outing or a weekend away.”
Mr Aldred hoped the new website, designed by David Poland, would attract larger crowds to the shire.
“The younger generation looks up the internet before they decide what they are going to do,” he said.
“Any organisation that wants to be active these days has to have a great website.”
