No time to consult

WITH reference to the Logical Inclusions Advisory Committee process currently underway in Melbourne, I have been advised by a Cardinia Council representative that there was little time for briefing or to refer to community consultation, due to the brief time allowed for response to the Planning Minister’s invitation for suggested expansion of the Urban Growth Boundary.
Another opinion was that if council did not nominate areas for inclusion, the government would make the decision for them anyway, leaving no choice. I therefore publicly question the transparency of the process put in place by Minister Matthew Guy and I believe the ratepayers and residents of Cardinia Shire are entitled to an explanation.
