The Seagulls recovered from 2/29 with an excellent 86-run partnership between Trevor Johnston (66) and Brenton Adams (46).
Useful contributions came from youngster Aaron Avery (32) and Chris Hughes (20).
Cardinia fought back at the end and captured the last wickets cheaply before finishing 0/1 at stumps.

When Ash (49) was dismissed Andrew Gray (42) and Jarrad Thompson (22) came together for an excellent 54-run partnership.
Tooradin was all out in the 60th over for 150. In reply Pakenham was 0/7 off seven overs.

Chief wicket taker was Ben Morrow with 3/25 from eight overs, Ben Tobin took 1/11 and Brent Maher 1/27 (seven overs).
Maher also took a great one-handed slips catch and James Thompson behind the wicket did a fine job.

The Gulls defended their 9/111 with their best bowling performance of the season.
After openers Jack Barker and Jaedyn Thomson took 1/3 from the first eight overs, Jay Wilson (3/8) and Dave Tobin (5/6) tore through Catani’s batsmen, dismissing the top team for 20.
