NYORA started well in senior fixtures, Kelvin Toogood leading the performances with 7/26 in D grade.
B GRADE
Against Cranbourne Meadows, Nyora started well with an opening stand of 56.
Cornelius Samuel was out for 14.
Nyora struggled until Peter Jensen came to the crease and put head down and made 35.
Paul Hendry made a handy 18 not out and Andrew Collis batted well for his 18. Nyora was all out 190.
D GRADE
Nyora quickly made inroads into the PUT batting, having the Yabbies 5/14. Only two batsmen reached double figures.
Nyora had great performances from Kelvin Toogood, who took 7/26 off 19 overs, David Ellams, who took four catches behind the stumps and Billy Hessels hit the stumps direct to send back a PUT batsman.
Nyora was set 83 to win, but started badly, losing 2/18.
F GRADE
Nyora 180 d Merinda Park 136.
Nyora lost Jake Hackett early, which brought Rory Gillante to the crease and he kept the scorers working.
Lee Cleary batted well for 28. Gillante finished with 50 retired, Les Glover joined Luke Watson and kept the scores busy until Watson retired after a big-hitting, quick-running 50.
Mark Strybosch took 3/13, Luke Watson 2/17 and Emma Strybosch 1/16.
UNDER 16
Nyora chased Kilcunda-Bass’s 74 and finished with 65.
Luke Tagliferro made 10, Aaron Cockeram 12 and Michael Toth seven.
UNDER 12
Cardinia scored 4/97 in reply to Nyora’s 4/93 to take the win.
