SATURDAY was a Stableford event at Drouin Golf Club and 107 players were in the field.
The A Grade winner was Paul Matthews (9) with 39 points from runner-up Mike Hall on 38 on a count-back from Dean Robbins. The B Grade winner was Jason Wilkinson (16) with the day’s best score of 41 points from runner-up Mike Waring on 38 followed by Graham Rawson and Rob Woodward on 37.
C Grade was won by Sam Linklater (36) with 34 points on a count-back from runner-up Chris Hunt on 34 with Rick Fenby also on the same score. Balls down the line went to 35 on a count back. Nearest the pins went to Gavan Feaver (14th), Graham Rawson (17th), Graham Kennedy (19th) and Peter Daniel on the 23rd Pro-pin.
Last Wednesday was also a Stableford event and Dave Anderson (12) continued his recent run of great form by winning A Grade with the day’s best return of 41 points.
A Grade runner-up was Craig Cottier 38 from Tom Carroll 37 and Joe Kirby on 36. Graeme Barnes (16) took out B Grade with 39 points from runner-up Graham Rawson on 38. Next best were Roger Barnes, Cleo Sahhar, Max Corby and Ray Crook, all with 37. C Grade winner was Syd Woods (35) with 39 points on a count-back from runner-up Michael Johnson on 39. George Connor and Graham Moon were next best, both on 37.
Balls down the line went to scores of 36. Nearest the pins went to Michael Barry (14th), Mike Hall (17th), Max Corby (19th) and Roger Barnes on the 23rd Pro-pin. This Saturday is a Stableford event. The Clark First National/Drouin Community Bank Pro-Am is fast approaching on Tuesday 28 February. There are still some vacancies, contact the Pro Shop for more details.
