CHRISTMAS will be celebrated with gusto by one lucky person after a lotto ticket bought at Pakenham Newsagency and Tattslotto won first division on Saturday.
Staff at the Main Street agency were thrilled to learn they had helped make somebody $533,211 richer, but remain unsure of the winner’s identity.
He or she is not registered with Tattersalls and had not been in to claim the jackpot at the time of going to press.
“It could have been someone who buys a ticket here every week, or it might have been someone just popping in,” staff member Kerrie Douglas said.
The win was a thrill for agency owners Rowan and Di Higgon who recently took over the business from previous long term owners Martin and Jake Vilcins.
In January 2004, another lucky punter won $15 million with a ticket bought in Pakenham.
