POLICE are calling for witnesses to a suspicious fire lit in the John Street disabled public toilet on Saturday 11 February.
Acting Senior Sergeant Fiona Tolmie said a boy aged about 13 was seen loitering around the toilets at the time of the fire.
He was seen watching as two tankers arrived at the scene.
He is described as wearing a red T-shirt, black shorts and a black and white cap. He was riding a blue scooter.
A passer-by saw smoke coming from the toilet block and reported the fire to emergency services about 1.45pm.
Only minor damage was caused to the sink, mirror and tiles.
Police believe the fire was started in the sink using lit toilet paper.
