IT’S your last chance to get a bargain.
Pakenham’s Outlook Nursery is set to close for business on Labour Day so there is not much time left to take advantage of the great bargains on offer.
“The community response to Outlook Nursery’s sale has been amazing,” said Outlook CEO Tony Fitzgerald.
“We have had a constant flow of customers and our plant stock is slowly dwindling. There are still great bargains to be had, so please hurry or you’ll miss out.”
Outlook plans to transform its nursery into a wholesale venture providing plants to large companies and government authorities undertaking reclamation work on disturbed parcels of land. An example of this is landfills.
Outlook also intends to provide award wage employment and horticultural traineeships for people with disability and disadvantaged workers. This will be achieved through Outlook’s employment placement service – Outlook Employment.
“These are exciting times for Outlook and we believe we can make a real difference with our corporate and government authority partners in job creation and improving our environment,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
“Another reason Outlook took the step to close its retail nursery is that its Men’s Shed is moving into the now nursery shop and storage shed area while we build the new community centre.
“The existing Men’s Shed would otherwise have had to close for 12-18 months leaving the 80 blokes who attend without their shed. The new Men’s Shed is a major part of the community centre development.”
