Town rallies in support

THE Tynong community is already banding together to raise funds for the Allens.
The town’s progress association and fire brigade and other community groups are planning a number of fundraisers to help the local family recover from a fire that destroyed their home on Saturday.
Tynong fire brigade secretary Robert Easton urged Gazette readers to support the Allens in any way they could.
He said the Allens were perfect neighbours and friends to everyone they met.
“They are people who do not deserve, by any means, the tragedy and heartache of the destruction of a houseful of possessions and memories,” Mr Easton said.
“I believe it is now time for the community to fortify and come together. “They have been left with very little. Show compassion where it is needed and support this family in whatever way you possibly can.”
Mr Easton said a number of initiatives were in the pipeline and hoped the community would get behind the effort.
“They have always dedicated themselves to helping others without questions, always on call to give and to sacrifice for friends, family, even those they don’t know all that well.
“Here is a heartbroken family who needs to see that they are not alone when they need it most, and it is up to all of us that can help to come to the rescue.”
For further details on how to contribute, contact Robert Easton on 5629 2982.
