For Maryknoll resident Alison Coleman, bringing joy to children is just part of her daily job.
Her life long love of horses has led her to a career in pony parties with family run business Giddyup Pony Parties.
“Basically we attend fetes, children’s birthday parties and other events and give children pony rides,” Mrs Coleman said. “The kids love it”.
Along with offering a range of party themes and ideas to provide something different, the Coleman family has more than 40 years combined equestrian experience to ensure that the party is both safe and memorable.
“For something different we offer themes such as princess, cowboys and indians and minisaddle club, where we dress up the ponies for an added bit of fun.”
With five horses to choose from, two are taken to a party venue while the other three are rested.
“We take two horses to parties, one for brushing, patting and cuddles and one for riding.
“A backyard is fine for the rides,” Mrs Coleman said.
