A SPATE of burglaries from rural properties at Upper Beaconsfield has prompted Pakenham police to
The daylight burglaries occurred last week on acreages with thieves taking computers, chainsaws, cameras and electrical items. Police said locals should be wary of anyone suspicious, particularly people coming to the house asking for water for their car, to speak to someone, asking to ride horses, or similar.
On 21 January between 5.30pm and 9.30pm a house was broken into on Blue Ridge Road in Upper Beaconsfield and a video camera and other electrical equipment were stolen.
At a St Georges Road property in Upper Beaconsfield a side door was forced open between 12.20pm and 3.50pm on 20 January and a computer, mobile phone, camera and MP3 player were taken. Meanwhile, at about 3.20pm on 17 January, thieves forced open the rear door of an Albers Road home in Upper Beaconsfield, setting off the alarm. Video games, a PlayStation 2, chainsaw and DVDs were taken from the house.
While on the same day a house on Split Rock Road in Dewhurst was broken into between 11.40am and 6pm. Thieves gained access through the laundry door and took a computer and cash.
Police said there were no suspects for the burglaries at this stage.
