A 108run secondwicket partnership between Lester Betreen and Brett Whittingham helped Merinda Park’s Agrade side to a competitive 263 against Devon Meadows on Saturday.
Betreen made 40 and Whittingham 76.
Playing Devon Meadows at Donnelly Reserve, the Cobras didn’t get off to a good start losing Chris Shepherdson when the score was on 10.
Captain Gary Davidson contributed 75 with Michael Quieros 22 not out, Rick Dennerley 17 and Brett Armitage 14.
B GRADE
Coming off a sevenwicket haul against Emerald, Jess Mathers did it again to take 7/69 from 20 overs against Nyora and help the Cobras bowl out the hosts for 232.
Nic Reed picked up 1/37 from nine overs and Dustin Peebles 1/38 from 13 overs.
At stumps the Cobras were 2/25 with Brayden Keown seven and Russell Dunn six.
C GRADE
Playing Upper Beaconsfield, the Cobras piled on the runs to score 6/366 with the highlight being a fine century to Anthony Shepherdson with 101 retired.
He and Steve Tobin shared a 148 secondwicket partnership with Tobin 58.
Shane Dalton with 56 and James LauglinGlen, 42, helped build a big total on a quick ground.
D GRADE
The Cobras are well on top against Clyde at Lyndhurst Secondary College, bowling the visitors out for 148.
John Proctor took 3/24 from 8.2 overs, Sam Beaver with 3/31 from 11 overs and Wayne Bruce 1/12 from nine overs.
In reply the Cobras are 0/41 at stumps with Mark Elliott on 22 not out and Darren Smith 11 not out.
E GRADE RED
The Cobras posted a modest total against Gembrook, being bowled out for 175.
There were solid contributions from captain Tim Inglis with 34, Anthony Burr 25, Steve Shepherdson with 19, Matt Cuthbertson with 18, Paul Humphrey with 16 and Robert Clark with 15.
Tim Inglis and Paul Humphrey shared a good opening partnership of 52.
In reply Gembrook is in a good position at 0/19.
E GRADE WHITE
The Cobras are in trouble against Pakenham after being bowled out for 138.
Junior Jason Pongracic did a good job with the bat to score 40 with fellow junior players Steve Tobin scoring 26 not out and Stuart Martin 14.

F GRADE
The Cobras had a big win over Emerald with the highlight being a hattrick to Marcus Beaver.
Batting first, the Cobras posted a good total of 6/170 from 35 overs.
Andy Hathaway performed well with the bat to score 50 retired, Dave Field 34 and Ben Pobjie 33 not out.
Emerald was all out for 85 in the 20th over with Marcus Beaver claiming 3/10 from two overs, Andy Hathaway with 3/18 from six overs and Dave Field with 2/17 from six overs.
UNDER 16
Playing Lang Lang, the Cobras held the hosts to 7/115 from 40 overs. James LaughlinGlen claimed 2/6 from three overs, Michael Theodoridis with 2/12 from eight overs, Andy Martin with 1/11 from six overs and Nathan Beaver with 1/20 from six overs.
UNDER 14 WHITE
The Cobras had to forfeit against Cardinia due to an absence of players.

Playing Pakenham Upper, the Cobras are in a good position after bowling the host out for 89.
Jarrod Armitage was the pick of the bowlers with 3/5 from 2.4 overs. Anthony Burr had 2/4 from three overs and Marcus Beaver 1/8 from four overs.
Batting, the Cobras are 0/18 at stumps with Jamie Fox on 12 not out and Matt Grayson 5 not out from seven overs.

In a raindelayed match the Cobras had Clyde 2/34 after nine overs with Dylan Cuthbertson and Elijah Inglis each picking up a wicket.

Only 14 overs could be bowled in a match against Cardinia with the Cobras on 1/57.
Michael Tobin made 16 retired, Ryan Little 13, Lesley Howell 10, Kiah LaughlinGlen 7 not out and Sanan Wimalagunaratna 6 not out.
Both coaches agreed to a 30over game with the Cobras to face a further 16 overs next week.
