Waking up to burglar

AN EMERALD woman was horrified after waking to find a burglar had broken in through her bedroom window while she was sleeping, Pakenham police said.
The woman, 59, was sleeping in her Williams Street home when the burglar crept through the window between 9.45pm on 26 January and 6.45am on 27 January. Police said the burglar opened the bedroom window and stole a handbag and digital camera from next to her bed while the woman was sleeping.
She was not harmed.
Any witnesses to the aggravated burglary were urged to contact Pakenham CIU on 5941 1033.
