Yakkerboo searches for the write stuff

WRITERS will have a chance to showcase their works and be in the running for some great prizes in this year’s Yakkerboo writing competition.
The event will be held in two sections, short story competition and a poetry competition.
Prizes for the short story competition are $150 for first and $100 for second and for poetry $100 for first and $50 for second.
Short stories should not exceed 1500 words and poems cannot exceed 50 lines.
Entries close Friday, 17 March.
Winners will be announced and presentations will be made on Saturday, 8 April at the Uniting Church Hall in Main Street, Pakenham.
Judges will attend and report on entries.
Entries are limited to three per person and there is a fee of $3 for each entry.
Entry forms are available at the Cardinia Shire offices or at the Pakenham library.
