IT was a weekend of nonstop action with a string of marquee events attracting crowds in their thousands.
The Berwick Show, Pakenham Cup and Bunyip Country Music Festival were just three of the drawcards on what is possibly the district’s biggest weekend.
Not even heavy downpours on Saturday could dampen the party atmosphere.
Premier Steve Bracks was in Berwick to open the show which has been a district tradition for over 150 years.
Crowds also enjoyed the Tattoo and Piercing Show at Pakenham and the firstever Toys and Hobbies Collectors Fair at the Pakenham town hall.
More than 2000 people attended the 17th Bunyip Country Music festival, soaking up a highquality list of entertainers.
Organisers of the show, the cup and country music fest were last seen heading off to enjoy a wellearned rest before starting to plan for next year.
What a whopper weekend!
