I WISH to congratulate the organisers and volunteers of the Berwick Show who, despite the torrential rain and weather reminiscent of an Antarctic winter, managed to conduct another successful event through their tremendous hard work and inspiring community spirit.
I know in my own stall, as we were pelted with rain and sought cover from the howling winds, the one thing that got us through was the help and assistance provided by both other stallholders and the officials.
The superb organisation and excellent facilities were again exemplary.
The Premier was impressed with show and thrilled to meet so many local people.
So well done and thank you to president Andrew Dedlefs, secretary Fran Barratt and their team for ensuring that the valued tradition of the Berwick Show continued, providing another weekend of fun, excitement and a taste of country life for suburban children.

Gembrook MP.
