I found myself in the position of having to travel to Melbourne by train and could not believe that from Berwick to Dandenong was a disgraceful mess of graffiti.

We were both out of our comfort zone and believed from ongoing publicity that the City of Casey was almost graffiti free.
Well it is not, and something needs to be done to ensure that it is, particularly because of the work that has been put into the campaign.
Casey acting manager of community safety Caroline Bell said the problem was that Connex was responsible for cleaning graffiti along the rail corridor.
Ms Bell said the council removed graffiti from buildings and structures within 50 metres of a road reserve or those visible from the road.
Mostly the graffiti campaign has worked extremely well, but this oversight needs to be dealt with.
