Tooradin rules supreme

ALTHOUGH Tooradin Netball Club’s Agrade team put in a lacklustre performance against Narre Warren on Saturday, it still managed to come away with an eightgoal win.
Rachel Splatt and Erin McMillan were a welcome return to the team after missing games through injury, the latter coming out firing in the first term to shoot at 100 per cent accuracy.
Bess O’Loughlin was a shining light and even after coming off after being winded, returned in the last quarter and played well.
Awards McConnell’s Pharmacy BOC award: Bess O’Loughlin; Rimfire Glass Coaches award: Rachel Splatt; Most Damaging Player: Michelle Barnes.

B GRADE

Tooradin displayed its best netball for the season against Narre Warren.
Some great intercepts and turnovers were created by Megan North and worked well through the midcourt with Fran Pecora finishing beautifully in goals.
Julia Rowan combined well in centre and played a smart game feeding around the goal ring.
Scores: Tooradin 56 d Narre Warren 17.
Awards Malglyn Concreting BOC: Megan North; Andrew Craven Concreting Coaches: Kate Feehan; Damager: Fran Pecora.

C GRADE

Tooradin started well against Narre Warren keeping it goalless in the first term.
Goalers Nicole Clausen and Allison Noonan worked well against some tough defenders and at half time welcomed 15yearold Holly Booth to the side, who combined well with both and created some excellent passages of play.
Brooke Splatt played a great game in defence and midcourters Danielle McQuillen, Lynette Longley, Kim Jonas and Cris Rooke all worked well together in different combinations.
Awards J.P. Shinners & Sons BOC: Cris Rooke; Bayside Cranes Coaches: Brooke Splatt; Damager: Alison Noonan.
