PARENTS of teenagers have all heard that inevitable request for the family car keys.
VicRoads’ Keys Please program attracted more than 280 Beaconhills College’s year10 students and their parents to an evening about the different skills needed when learning to drive.
The college’s head of personal development, Peter Johnston, said the program was the first step into the driver’s seat and was one way that students, parents, schools, the police and the Government could contribute to a reduction of the road risks faced by young drivers.
“The best way to become a good driver is to get plenty of driving experience and the Keys Please evenings provide a lot of great information and valuable tips to help get that allimportant licence as safely and as stress free as possible,” he said.
