OFFICER Kangaroos under 13s defeated Cranbourne in a windy semifinal at Fountain Gate on Sunday.
After losing the toss, the Kangaroos kicked into a gale in the first quarter. In the third quarter Cranbourne kicked the first goal but the Kangaroos played the defensive side of the ground and restricted Cranbourne’s opportunities. Officer started the last quarter with a twogoal lead.
Cam Abbott and Mark Vandenacker were marking well in the conditions and, after having the majority of the play and kicking a succession of points, the Kangaroos finally scored goals through Michael White and Ben O’Loughlin.
