AN UNKNOWN car could hold the key to a series of recent burglaries in Beaconsfield.
Police are hoping to hear from residents who may have seen a red, older model car, possibly a Toyota Corolla, around Amelia Close in Beaconsfield on Friday, 5 August. A man was seen getting into the car and driving off after he was disturbed by a neighbour during a shed burglary. The car that police are searching for may have had a broken headlight and damage on the front right hand side.
Detective Senior Constable Mick O’Neil of Pakenham CIU said police were hoping to hear from anybody who may have seen the car in the area.
Stolen from the shed were a whipper snipper and lawn mower, with a value of about $1000.
A bike was also reported stolen from a house in nearby Lyle Avenue. Anybody with further information is urged to phone Pakenham CIU on 5940 2345.
