RESERVES

An undermanned Emerald took to the field against Seville that led from the beginning of the first quarter and continued to increase its lead at every break. Emerald tried hard and showed some great passages of play, but with seven of its players being called up to the senior squad, due to injuries, this made it very difficult.

Best: Jesse Mather, Callum Benoiton, Brian Sullivan, Brad Sands.

UNDER 18

Emerald played Seville in cool and threatening conditions and soon took control, kicking 2.3 to 1.1 in the first quarter. Emerald kept the momentum going in the second quarter and kicked another three goals to Seville’s one.
The second half saw Emerald continue where it left off and outscore Seville in the third and final terms for a convincing win.
Score: Emerald 11.14.80 d Seville 5.3.33. Goals: Jesse Mather 4, David Hill 3, Brian Sullivan, Steven Wright, Robbie Stewart, Kyal Woolnough. Best: Steven Wright, David Hill, Paul McCooke and Donald Allenson.
