RONALD James made light of the wintry conditions at Pakenham Golf Club on Saturday, winning the Stableford event with an excellent 44 points.
The Agrade winner was Mick Boyd with 39 points and C grade was won by Richard Walker with 40 points.
The twilight winners’ final was played on Saturday in conjunction with the Stableford competition and the winner was David Jack with 41 points.
Nearest the pins went to Blake McGrath on the golf shop second hole and G. Coates from Beaconhills was the winner of the Pakenham Subway fifth hole.
Barrie Seldon took out the Dante’s Woodfired Pizza eighth hole and the Hungry Jack’s 14th went to Joseph Brennan. Peter Brown from Trafalgar was the winner of the Pakenham Pizza 16th hole and the B.M.R. Autos second shot on the sixth was won by George Savkov.
The B.M.R. Autos longest drive in A grade went to Scott Milnes and the B grade to Dave Tyler.
The McIntyre Painting Cgrade longest drive was won by Damien Soderlund.

Norm Coley and G. Coates both had birdies on the fifth.
MEN’S PENNANT
The divisiontwo team played its first round last Sunday against Morwell at Morwell.
There were some very close finishes with two matches getting a result on the 19th hole.
Pakenham came in the winners 4/3 in a great start to the season.
Division one, three and four start next Sunday.
Raffle winners were Alex Wynne and Ian Neason.
MEN’S CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Sponsored by Rawdon Hill Management and Constructions, these start on Saturday, 6 May and run over three weeks.

Fiftytwo players competed in a Stableford round with Athol Bailey coming in with 44 points to win from Noel Bonne and Peter Blackwell, both with 42 points. Down the lines went to Brian Degering 39, Matthew Russo 39, Ian Shennan 39, Alan Halleur 38, Bob Morrison 38, Travis Wheeler 37 and Michael Otene 36. Scott Phillips was the winner of the nearest the pin on the second hole with Mark Bell taking out the eighth and Brett Harrop the 14th.
TUESDAY (ANZAC DAY) COMPETITION
This attracted more than 50 golfers with Ron Thoulliss from Garfield taking out the Stableford round with 41 points.
Glen Easto came in with 39 points to be runnerup on a countback from Tasi Taito 39.
Down the lines went to Stojko Kresojevic 38, Steve Barrett 38, George Savkov 38, Wayne Hood 38, Jeffrey LeBusque 37, Arthur Ellis 37, Lance Lee 37 and Robert Curtis 37.
Nearest the pins were won by Steve Barrett (second) Jeff LeBusque (eighth) and Glen Easto (14th).
WEDNESDAY RESULTS
The morning competition attracted 74 players for a Stableford competition with Dieter Ruprecht coming in with 41 to win from Leo Cester and Bill Toogood with 40 points.
Downtheline winners were Brian Doherty 39, Barrie Seldon 39, Graeme Steel 39, visitor C Forster 38, Malcolm Clay 37, Cliff Pain 37, Vilie Koroknai 37, Rory Sutton 36, Andrew Wraight 36 and Kevin Salau 36.
Don Moloney was the winner of the nearest the pin on the second hole with Andrew Wraight taking out the eighth. Winner on the 14th hole was Brian Doherty.
SUNDAY RESULTS
The winner was Gary Bennett on a countback from Richard Walker, both with 38 points.
LADIES
On Thursday the ladies played a Par event for Nutrimetics Day with the trophies being donated by Pam Driver.
Pam presented a great display of Nutrimetics products.
The winner came from Division one Maria Warburton with +3.
The divisiontwo winner was June McCardel with +1 on a countback and the divisionthree winner was Leonie Sander with +1.
Nearest the pin on the second hole was Marg Andrews and the eighth went to Maria Warburton.
Downtheline ball winners were Marg Jackson +2, Lyn Murray +1, Rena Bueler square, Ann Bell 1, Pat Salau –1, Val Carroll –2, Bev Kerslake –2, Marjorie Dean –2 on a countback.
PENNANT WIN
The division4 pennant side won 4/1 last Monday.
Division two lost 5/2.
SATURDAY KNOCKOUT
Viki Maxwell won the ladies Saturday knockout.
She defeated Liz Garvey 4/3.
COMING EVENT
Next Thursday (4 May) the competition is the May monthly medal.

Winner of the Stableford event was Bianca Walker with 36 points from Viki Maxwell 35 and Elly Briggs 34.
Nearest the pin was won by Viki Maxwell.
Next Saturday is the first round of the men’s championships.
