KOOWEERUP’S Dgrade team narrowly came out on top by three goals in a strong physical game with Longwarry at the weekend.
Alicia Radings got clearances, but clean passes hard to get through the Longwarry defence and Kooweerup was down 25 at the first break.
Kooweerup applied pressure with success, Amanda Crowley and Jackie Adamson working hard to get the ball and Erin Pellissier getting some goals on the board.
Jensey Thompson defended well and made the Longwarry attack think about its passes.
At halftime Kooweerup was down 711.
Shanae Ingram got the ball out of defence, giving Jordan Legg and Kooweerup attack options.
The centre clearances from Jensey Thompson were very polished and at the end of the quarter Kooweerup was down 1316
The same team structure went into the last quarter with plenty of confidence.
The defence of Jordan Legg and Alicia Radings got the ball into attack giving Jackie Adamson and Erin Pellissier plenty of opportunities.

The first few clearances saw Kooweerup put under extreme pressure from Longwarry.
Jade Williams gave Sam Belsham and Shanae Ingram plenty of options and at the end of the quarter, Kooweerup was up 94.
The game continued to be tight and no clear positions were on top.
Kassy Male had a nasty fall and the team structure changed, Mariah Bell making the most of the attacks forward.
At halftime Kooweerup was up 159.
Stephanie Kelly was swung into centre and gave Megan Bugg some good clearances into attack. Some wide throws from all positions saw Longwarry score more goals for the quarter.
Kooweerup was up 2016.
In the last quarter pressure was still being applied by Longwarry.
Emily Harrison got clear in wing attack to give Sam Belsham and Shanae Ingram options.
It was a very highstandard game from both sides.

Some good centre clearances from Cassie Belsham saw some quick goals from Alexis Bell and Sarah Cammarano. The defence of Jessie Chapman and Brooke Radings held up well.
At the end of the quarter Kooweerup was up 70.
Team structure changed around saw Marie Osborne and Alexis Bell shooting well. Jess Duff and Rachel Hawkins getting court time and gaining in confidence.
Kooweerup was up 141 at halftime.
Longwarry put a lot of pressure on Kooweerup in the third. Lauren Harrison and Ellie Cammarano worked hard in the highstandard game.
Kooweerup was up 176.
In the last quarter the team structure was changed again and good attack and defence play saw Kooweerup get 12 goals for the quarter.
The umpiring was of a very good standard and the players gained a lot from the clear explanation of infringements.
