Two wins lift Cobras

CORA Lynn had two wins over NeerimNeerim South plus a draw from last week’s matches.

A GRADE

Cora Lynn and NeerimNeerim South played a tight first quarter, coming out even at the first break. In the second quarter the Cobras began to lift and played as a team to take the lead. The second half was a brilliant effort from Cora Lynn, with lots of encouragement, fine play and great teamwork.
Scores: Cora Lynn 57 d NeerimNeerim South 45.
Awards: Pam Cunningham, Jess Tiberi.

B GRADE

Scores: NeerimNeerim South 56 d Cora Lynn 46.

C GRADE

Cora Lynn began nervously and was down by four goals at quartertime. Accurate goaling and great whole court pressure created many opportunities so that we were 2 goals up at threequarter time. Some errant passes put the team under pressure in the last quarter but excellent teamwork meant we were able to come away with a draw.
Scores: Cora Lynn 32 drew with NeerimNeerim South 32.
Awards: Danielle Todaro, Courtney Ball.

D GRADE

The under 17s worked the ball through the court well but struggled to get it to the goalers. The defenders worked hard all game but Cora Lynn couldn’t come away with a better result.
Scores: NeerimNeerim South 44 d Cora Lynn 7.
Awards: Mallory Griffiths, Sarah Kemp.

F GRADE

On Saturday NeerimNeerim South travelled to Cora Lynn. Cora Lynn came out strongly and gave its best all game. Changes meant the players were in positions they were not familiar with and to their credit they did a superb job.
Scores: NeerimNeerim South 26 d Cora Lynn 11.
