Young Demons fire

KOOWEERUP under 15s played Longwarry at home and started well by posting 3.5 to nil in the first quarter.
In the second quarter the Demons struggled to team and push the ball forward into a light breeze. But good play from Watson to Dower resulted in a goal to Miller and was the highlight of the quarter. Carson at halfback and Bright continued to work hard.
In the third quarter several good clearances from Krastek and Marusic got the ball to Bright for a goal. Pellissier was creating opportunities on the wing, as did Anderson, who won the ball and handballed to Watson for another major.
In the last quarter under13 player Trent Hanson handballed to Pellissier to Bright and Marusic goaled. Kooweerup ran out easy winners.
Scores: Kooweerup 13.7.85 d Longwarry 0.2.2.
