TOORADIN’S Agrade produced a top first quarter that set the pattern of the game against Narre Warren, winning by 20 goals on Saturday.
From the outset, Tooradin overran their opponents with classy goaling and relentless defence all over the court.
Rachel Splatt set the tone for the day in defence, causing countless turnovers and assisting the team to swiftly move the ball up the court.
Sara Drain again was at her acrobatic best, managing to wedge herself under the score bench after frantically chasing a loose ball out of court.
The highlight of the game was the brilliant combination of the goalers in the first half between Sharna Wadeson and Keren Van Der Heyden. The pair were unstoppable a few years back as juniors and were joined together again being Sharna’s first game in A grade.
In an outstanding performance Sharna looked like she had been playing in the side for years and has given herself a much better chance of a regular spot after the weekend’s performance.

B GRADE
Tooradin started the game with its most erratic and sloppy netball for the year.
Narre Warren proved to be a big challenge and its defensive pressure was excellent.
Each quarter, Tooradin improved its play and managed to stay one or two goals ahead at every break.
With some great driving through the midcourt from Stacey Edwards and rocksolid defence from Carly Booth and Stacey McLeod, Tooradin managed to run away with the game in the last quarter

In another slow start, Tooradin found itself unsettled against Narre Warren.
As the game progressed Tooradin worked harder with some fantastic defensive play from Nikki Dawson in WD.
Alison Noonan finished off well in the ring.

Tooradin played a top game against Narre Warren.
Defenders Kellie North, Laura Yue and Natalie Wilson played well, creating many turnovers.
Strong goaling by Bronte Evans and Ellie Brooke set up a good lead at halftime.
Sara Tanner and Gabby Wilson produced some fine midcourt play with Lauren Genoni and Tyler MacDermid showing versatility throughout the game.
