Members pass on their respects

BERWICK Seniors this week lost two of their longterm members with the deaths of Mona Ansley and Lionel Green. The president, committee and members would like to extend their deepest regrets to members of both families.
Bingo was played on Friday and some of the $10 winners were Wyn Sykes, Elsie Draude, Nora Todd, Ellie Matheson, Sheila Carter, Audrey Appleyard, Elsie Smith, Val Di Carlo and Jack Burr while Verna Thewlis won two games.
Alex, Dominique and Stacey from St Margaret’s school helped on the tables and did a great job with the meals. Elsie Draude won the meat tray. Glady Obeth won the door prize.
Tatts was won by Bev Coffey, Frank Cranston and Elsie Draude. Birthdays were celebrated by May Moseley, who had her 94th, and also David Clark.
Many members are on the sick list and all are wished a speedy recovery.
Tai Chi is held every Tuesday at 10am and line dancing at 1.30pm on Tuesday. New members are welcome.
Friday is club day with doors opening at 9.30am. Members can buy a meal or bring their own and entertainment follows after lunch.
