ON 9 August, 24 bowlers enjoyed two games of 15 ends at Pakenham.
Three teams won two games each, the third team missing out by eight shots.
The winning team of Nancy Telford, Sam Mazzarella, Ron Niddrie and Des Hollingworth (skip) scored on 22 ends with a winning margin of 35 shots.
The runnersup were the team of David McGown, Joy Morris, George Price and Jim Telford (skip) who won 17 ends with a margin of 18 shots up.
Twentythree social and full members attended the Thursday afternoon session of two games of bowls each of 15 ends. Six teams played, five teams with four players each and one with three players, and each team played the same number of bowls.
Only one team did not achieve a win. The winners with both games were the team of Eve Conroy, Des Hollingworth, Lindsay Bransgrove and Jim Telford (skip), who won 18 ends and 11 shots up.
The runnersup were David McGown, Mary Price, Alma Holland and Kon Kormas (skip), who came home with only two shots up. The other matches were very close.
On Friday night four teams took part in the one game of 15 ends, in which all teams had lady skippers.
Thursday, 1 September will be the last day of indoor winter bowls.
