After a close loss to Pakenham the previous week, Beaconsfield was determined to show why it was last year’s premiers.

Emma Wallis, Sarah Battista and Debby Stacey worked hard to move the ball down the midcourt, with Shelley Ziesler and Kirsty Busuttil providing support in the third quarter.

In what was another tough game against TooradinDalmore, Beaconsfield took a while to settle into the first quarter.
There were some excellent passages of play throughout the game, but a lack of good leads and strong defence from the opposition kept victory at bay.
Shooter Ellie Gubbins and Melissa Rooke put up some magnificent shots, with Bec Van Steensel and Naomi Allardyce working hard to feed in well at times.
Claire Van Lambaart played her usual tough game, running and fighting hard.
Defenders Cheyenne Douglas, Ruby Meade and Stacy Lizars had a hard task and worked well together to place pressure on their opponents.
Scores: Beaconsfield 19 lost to TooradinDalmore 33.
Best Beaconsfield: Ruby Meade, Melissa Rooke.

Scores: Beaconsfield 55 d TooradinDalmore 7.
Best: Sarah Bell and Dannielle Llinares.
