The game against Keysborough loomed as a huge danger, but the Lions were supreme with a sound 42point victory.
Pakenham burst out of the blocks in the first quarter kicking five goals before the opposition managed its first.
The remainder of the game was a seesawing battle of momentum as the Lions could not quite shake off the formidable Keysborough side.
Daniel Fry and Simon Ponter both shared the goalkicking with four apiece, but the positive to come out of the game was that Pakenham had 13 goalkickers.
Jared Goldsack was again at his elusive self and gathered possessions at will. Michael Holland again showed why he is regarded as one of the top onballers in the league with another dominant game.
Joe Allen continued his solid form up forward presenting himself all game. Joel Padley and Stuart Burridge repelled many forward passages of play and John Atwell also played well, displaying his skills.

Pakenham is starting to play some solid team football and recorded another victory to keep it in touch of the top five, downing Keysborough by 80 points.
This margin could have been more, but for some inaccurate kicking for goal.
Ant Davis showed again he is in careerbest form, Evan Broadbent gathered possessions at will and Ryan McQualter showed why he is such a vital member of the backline and team in general.
Ben Kitchin was lively up forward, while Michael Hicks was impressive down back and Glen Pearson also showed he is starting to hit his straps.

Pakenham got off to a good start, leading by three points at the first break.
The next two quarters saw Keysborough take control, but kept Pakenham in the contest with some inaccurate kicking.
With a lead of 35 points heading in to the last quarter, Keysborough thought it had the game in the bag, but to Pakenham’s never gave up and pegged the lead back to just nine points by the end of the game.
Dom Paynter was dominant, Jon Higgins tried hard all day and Alexander Johnston showed plenty of potential.
Michael Wake played a solid game, as did Chris Higgins and Josh Howe.
Scores: Pakenham 6.6.42 lost to Keysborough 6.15.51.
