A lastquarter fadeout by ROC saw it go down to Narre Warren by 29 points in an entertaining game on Saturday.
ROC played well in patches, but lapses in concentration and an inability to remain committed for four quarters proved its undoing.
The large crowd at Starling Road saw a very good match and it wasn’t until well into the final term that Narre Warren tied up the four points.
The Kangaroos travel to Pakenham this week.

A depleted ROC was soundly beaten by the welldrilled Narre Warren team.
With injuries and player absences decimating the regular side, a number of former players pulled on the boots to help make up numbers.
Although the Kangaroos were able to remain competitive until halftime, the lack of fitness and match practice took a heavy toll in the second half.
As the game wore on, the superior fitness of Narre Warren and its willingness to run and back each other up helped it overpower ROC to record a comfortable win.
Ryan Fuller, Aaron Moylan, Nathan Jones, Ash Tivendale and Damian Crothers all pulled on the boots to help the club out and their efforts were appreciated.
Scores: Narre Warren 16.11.107 d ROC 3.6.24.
Goals – ROC: C. Glen, S. Rankin and R. Fuller.
Best – ROC: Sean Marchetti, Shane Webster, Dan Johnson, Greg Overdyk and Peter Quinn.

Outnumbered and undermanned, the young ROC was outgunned by a slick Narre Warren side, but to its credit never gave up and played hard all game.
With only 16 players and no bench, the team showed great courage to remain competitive to the end, even though the four points were decided long before the final siren.
Scores: Narre Warren 29.21.195 d ROC 1.1.7
Goals – ROC: Under15 player Neil Adams.
