Memo to both Cardinia council and Metro Trains.
After nearly two years of emails, phone calls and both parties playing “dodge the responsibility”, one resident with a lawnmower achieved what you both could not.
14 Bald Hill road in Pakenham is a parcel of vacant land owned and sporadically maintained by Metro trains. The nature strip however is an entirely different entity, with neither party willing to take ownership or responsibility.
As a resident and pedestrian I take issue with the fact that neither party could get off its respective backside and come to some sort of agreement about maintaining this site.
Someone’s contractors already do this for the nature strip abutting Metro’s train station car park, however neither is willing to walk the extra 50 metres down the road and repeat the process at 14 Bald Hill road.
My message to you both is to stop procrastinating, stop the excuses and get on with it.
David Connor,
Pakenham.
