Champions to the fore

MARILYN Ford and Karen Pritchard are Beaconhills Country Golf Club’s aggregate foursomes champions for 2006.
They combined well to win the title with a score of 183.
This was Karen’s first win in the event and Marilyn’s sixth.
The nett aggregate winners were Heather Hamilton and Jean Wheatley with nett 142.
The competition of the day was won by Ros Harding and Phyllis Woods, with nett 71.5.
Judy Butler and June Biddle shared the nearest the pins, Judy winning the sixth and June the 15th.

Tuesday’s Stableford event was won by Michael Utting (20) with 38 points on a countback from runnerup Brian Wills (11).

Thursday Stableford had two grade winners.
Quickly improving Glenn Vassett (15) won A grade with 40 points, while John Watson (31) found form, winning B Grade with 42 points.
Tim Angwin and Trevor Ball both had eagles in their score.

This was the July monthly medal played as a Par event.
Denis Hooper (17) won the competition on the Lakes course with plusfour.
On the Old course the winners were A grade: Stuart Mills (11) plusthree on a countback, C grade: Glen James (21) plusone and B grade: Glenn Dolenc (17), whose score of pluseight was more than enough to secure him the monthly medal.
The ninehole junior competition winner was Brayden Hackling with 33 nett.
