Goon grabs all grades

NAR Nar Goon hosted Cora Lynn, again taking out wins in all grades for the second week in a row.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE

In a physical and highly competitive game great skill was displayed by both sides. Nar Nar Goon led by six goals at quartertime, managing to increase the lead to eight at halftime. Cora Lynn fought back in the third quarter to reduce the lead to one goal. Great focus and disciplined play enabled the Goon to come away with the points by six goals. Sam Hodge and Linsey Boddy were fabulous in defence, while Masie Noonan provided plenty of drive through midcourt. Despite the loss of Meg Evans in the third quarter, the Goon showed great depth and versatility to win the match with a team effort.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:B GRADE

A great team allowed the Goon to come away with a strong win. Rebecca and Erin Murphy were strong in goals, working the ring well and defending well. Julia McPhee and Michelle Collins passed well into goals and the defenders played well, causing a lot of turnovers to the Goon’s advantage.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:C GRADE

Another well fought out game by the Goon resulted in an exciting onegoal win. Every player contributed with strong defence down the court, which created many goaling opportunities. Goal Shooter Bianca Lowen was best and the club thanked Meaghan Douglas for filling in.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:17 AND UNDER

Nar Nar Goon dominated from the outset with great defending skills from Leesa Bartlett at wing defence and Chantelle Joosten and Mirae Payroli at goal keeper and goal defence. The midcourt of Gwen Jones, Sarah Van Boxtel and Taryn Salisbury at centre kept the pressure on Cora Lynn at every pass. Sinead Scanlon showed her versatility, rotating from goals to defence.

Nar Nar Goon played a strong consistent game against Cora Lynn, showing versatility by sending Ashlee Dore into defence and Jenna Noonan into goals. It was a polished team performance with best on court going to Meaghan Douglas for her beautiful movement in goals.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:13 AND UNDER

Off to a quick start, Nar Nar Goon dominated the first quarter and got a good lead. Different combinations worked well and the Goon maintained a steady lead. Bridget Scott in defence and Jemma Kerr in attack fought hard and put into practice new skills.
