OFFICER Kangaroos under15 team struggled to defeat a persistent Narre Warren, winning by 15 points on Sunday.
Courageous efforts by Jake Rech and Toby Arthur helped the small forwards have an impact.

After conceding five goals to Beaconsfield in the first quarter Officer Kangaroos played some competitive football in the remaining quarters.
Onballers Ben O’Loughlin, Rick Marson and Mark Vandenacker won a number of processions and drove the ball forward where Lachlan Parker capitalised by kicking three goals.
In the backline Daniel Jeavons rebounded a number of Beaconsfield attacks and was well supported by Brock Watson and Matt Rogers.
Scores: Officer Kangaroos 6.5.41 lost to Beaconsfield 9.11.66.

After winning the toss Officer Kangaroos kicked into the wind and played a great quarter, scoring four goals to Pakenham’s one.
The Kangaroos came out in the second quarter and dominated, but kicked inaccurately for two goals and six behinds.
In the important third quarter, kicking into a strong wind, the Kangaroos held Pakenham to one point, then finished off with a couple of goals in the last quarter.
Chris Connelly played his 50th game.

Being short of players did not stop Officer giving its all, but was not able to dominate Cranbourne.
The team thanked the under10s that helped out.

Officer started the game well by kicking a point in the first quarter. It was a very tight game in the second, with Michael Moxham kicking a goal.
All players were good in the third quarter and it was very close in the last quarter.

Best: Charlie Shacklock, Mike Tivendale.

In a tight first quarter Officer battled hard against the wind and the teams went in at quarter time kicking one goal each.
The second quarter the Kangaroos lifted with the wind, but only managed to kick 26 to lead by 18 points at halftime.
In the third quarter, Narre Foxes came out firing, but Officer’s backline pressure kept it to just six behinds.
In the final quarter Officer came home with the wind kicking another 16 to win by 24 points

Officer tried hard all day, but were outclassed in the first quarter.
In the following three quarters Officer outscored Beaconsfield, but not enough for a win.
