With the bare eleven, Baw Baw travelled to Footscray to battle with RMIT.
Overcast and cool conditions were ideal for all to work hard from the outset.
RMIT was quick to move into attack and pressed hard for some time and had several opportunities to move into its attacking zone.
Jo Bruce in goals for the first time this year was aggressive and with the strong support of fullbacks Kim Dorling and Laura James repelled any balls approaching the goalmouth.
The Baw Baw side settled down and quietly built their game and by the end of the first half, Baw Baw threatened, with the aid of several penalty corners, to score. It was a very evenly matched game but RMIT was able to score the only goal for the game.
Scores RMIT 1 d Baw Baw 0.

Several position changes in the second half kept Parkville guessing, but pressured hard to penetrate the Baw Baw defence twice and take a 43 lead.
Baw Baw did not give up and not only equalised through a field goal, but took the lead after a successful penalty corner conversion.
The final action for the game saw Parkville awarded a penalty stroke and Rochelle MacFarlane anticipating direction blocked the stroke.

The match began with Baw Baw the underdogs as Hawthorn had a better record so far this season.
Baw Baw began strongly, repelling a number of attacking moves by the Hawthorn combination.
However a lapse in concentration at the 15 minute mark of the first half saw the first of Hawthorn goals hit the back of the net.
Within minutes Hawthorn were able to consolidate with a second goal from a short corner.
Just prior to half time, Baw Baw was able to capitalise through some great work by Matthew Goetz who gave the goalie no chance.
The Hawthorn forwards went into attack again and by half time the team was 31 up.
Th second half saw Baw Baw’s work rate improve, but was unable to stop another goal.
The young Bulls gave Hawthorn a final test and only moments prior to the final whistle showed what their true capacity was by forcing a final goal through Matthew Goetz.

The young Bulls went down to the strong Goulburn Valley team that dominated the first half and by half time had two goals on the board.
The Baw Baw forwards made some use of the ball, but could not penetrate the strong defence.
A half time regrouping saw the young Bulls come out ready to take the match up to Goulburn Valley.
A number of strong attacking moves were thwarted and Baw Baw was unfortunate not to be on the board.
Finally, in the 15th minute of the second half, David Hill was able to beat the goalie with a blistering shot.
This was followed by some excellent work by the Bulls in an attempt to draw the match, however a lucky goal by Goulburn Valley ended any hope.
